A core balance is a balance position within a core account. It is where the money actually sits. Read them with GET /v2/core_balances and GET /v2/core_balances/{id}.

All amounts are signed integers in minor units. 1500 is $15.00.

spendable may include overdraft capacity. A balance with cash_available of zero can still show a positive spendable if the account has an overdraft limit. Do not present spendable as cash on hand.

List and retrieve

GET /v2/core_balances returns every core balance visible to your program. Filters:
  • core_account_id. Balances under one core account.
  • limit, starting_after, ending_before. Cursor pagination. Cursors are core balance IDs.
GET /v2/core_balances/{id} returns one balance. 404 if the ID does not exist or belongs to another program. Each request reads Lead’s core directly, so the figures reflect the ledger at the time of the request.
