# Wire Timing & Availability

> Understand when wires can be processed.

## Operating Hours

The [Fedwire Funds Service](https://app.frbservices.org/resources/financial-services/wires/operating-hours.html) operates on business days, opening at 8:00 p.m. CT on the preceding calendar day and closing at 6:00 p.m. CT, Monday through Friday, excluding designated holidays. For example, the Monday business day opens at 8:00 p.m. CT on Sunday evening.

You can submit outgoing wire transfers through the Lead API twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. If a submission occurs outside of the Fedwire Funds Service operating hours, Lead will wait until Fedwire opens before submitting those transfers for processing.

### **Outgoing Wires**

Lead’s wire submission cutoff time is **4:00 p.m. CT**, Monday through Friday. Outgoing wire transactions submitted after this cutoff will be processed on the next business day. For example, an outgoing wire created at **4:05 p.m. CT on Monday** will be processed on Tuesday.

### Incoming Wires

Lead receives and posts incoming wires automatically. No action is required. Wires arrive any time the Fedwire window is open.
